Attach files and folders

Use Attach when you want to bring material into the workspace and include it in your next message. For something already there, use Reference or @.

CLIOBring a folder into your next messageScreenshot walkthrough
The example uses a saved source, downloads an editable copy, and shows the resulting folder attachment in the draft. Actual UI states with reading pauses; no message is sent in this example.
  1. Open + → Attach beside the message box.
  2. Choose Choose files or Choose folder, then select the material on your computer.
  3. Wait for preparation to finish. A folder appears as one attachment rather than a long list of individual files.
  4. Open the attachment to inspect it. Write your request and choose Send when it is ready.

CLIO prepares a workspace copy. Editing that copy does not overwrite the original file on your computer.

Expand Your sources at the bottom of Attach, then open a source. Browse to the folder you want. Choose Download a copy or Link to the originals, with the access mode you need. The resulting folder reference is added to the composer so the agent can find it when you send.

Downloading individual files is also available from the source’s file list. Reuse an existing download or link with Add source to message, Add this folder to message, or a downloaded file’s Add to message action instead of preparing another copy.

Use the attachment’s remove button before sending. CLIO discards copies or links created for that unsent attachment, including its source-named folder when it is no longer needed. It preserves material that already existed or was used by a sent message.

This does not delete the original files at their source. For ongoing connections and account sign-ins, see Manage sources.
